Black (Trans) Lives Matter

In the wake of the brutal killing of George Floyd by the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department, the entire country erupted in a fury that had long since boiled beneath the surface. As that fury raged throughout the summer and we approached San Francisco’s annual Gay Pride weekend, I felt compelled to create an animation to amplify the message that -

BLACK LIVES MATTER - NOT JUST TODAY, BUT EVERYDAY.

It was important to include the colors of the Trans Flag to commemorate the day to day violence against the trans community, especially those of color.

It was cathartic to make this and to participate in marches and rallies over the summer, but there is much more work to be done.
