Noise Pop Music Festival 2020

San Francisco is host to the annual Noise Pop music and arts festival that takes place in venues across the Bay Area. The branding identity for this years festival was created by Nigel Sussman, and I instantly fell in love with it. My second impulse was that it begged to be set in motion.

The Car was modeled in Cinema 4D, the Daft Punk helmets are free assets I found online. The particle effects and stars were all created in After Effects.

I covered the festival pretty extensively HERE and HERE and also wrote on a handful of individual shows: Washed Out, Dr. Dog, The Jungle Giants, and Have Mercy. Noise Pop is one of my favorite SF institutions and I look forward to getting back to music journalism!
